With April's arrival, expect rain and fluctuating temperatures this week in Binghamton

Binghamton residents should expect rain throughout the week as the month of April begins.

Daytime temperatures will vary greatly, with Tuesday reaching 44 degrees and Thursday bringing temperatures up to the low 70s, while temperatures will drop to between the 20s and 50s during the night. Expect rain this week, with a chance of precipitation for the next three days.

Tuesday

Tuesday will bring a 20% chance of precipitation, with a slight chance of rain showers before 11 a.m. and a northwest wind of about 11 mph, with gusts reaching 21 mph. Expect the day to start cloudy and gradually clear up starting in the morning, with a high near 44.

On Tuesday night, skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 27 degrees and a calm wind.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, Binghamton residents should expect mostly cloudy weather, with a high around 51 degrees and 8 to 13 mph winds, with gusts reaching 23 mph. There will be a 40% chance of precipitation, with a chance of showers after 2 p.m.

Wednesday night will bring rain showers, mainly after 2 a.m. and a low around 41 degrees. Expect an 80% chance of precipitation.

Thursday

Showers will continue into Thursday, with rain expected mainly before 2 p.m. There will be an 80% chance of precipitation, while temperatures will warm to around 72 degrees

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 50 degrees. There will be a 60% chance of precipitation, with showers likely, mainly after 2 a.m.
