Some winter weather is right around the corner this week in the Lower Hudson Valley, with frosty conditions during morning commutes and possible snow showers Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Monday morning begins with cloudy skies and a 50% chance of rain showers before 1 p.m. High temperatures are expected to reach 54 degrees by 11 a.m. but will fall to around 46 degrees by the afternoon.

Overnight, skies are looking mostly clear with a low of 29 degrees. However, wind chill values between 20 and 25 degrees could make it feel much colder. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze advisory for southern Westchester as a result of the forecast.
On Tuesday’s Veteran’s Day holiday, Lower Hudson Valley residents could see the first signs of snow for the year.
Snow showers could occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with cloudy skies and high temperatures near 42 degrees. Wind chill values of 20 and 30 and wind gusts of up to 40 mph could make temperatures feel colder.
Looking ahead
Overnight Tuesday, skies are expected to be partly cloudy with a low of 33 degrees and wind gusts between 10 and 25 mph.
Wednesday is looking slightly warmer with partly sunny skies and a high near 49 degrees. However, winds between 10 and 30 mph could make temperatures a bit colder. Overnight, skies are expected to be partly cloudy with a low of 38 degrees.
