A rainy end to the week is in the forecast for the Lower Hudson Valley, but any chance of snow from earlier in the week appears to be gone, according to the National Weather Service.
A 30% chance of showers is possible Wednesday, March 11, likely starting in the afternoon and continuing through the evening. Skies in the early morning will be partly cloudy and high temperatures could reach up to 71 for a second consecutive day.
Overnight, a chance of thunderstorms is possible along with regular showers. Temperatures could dip to around 43 degrees and skies are expected to be mostly cloudy.
Rain is expected to continue into Thursday morning, with showers likely before 11 a.m. Skies should be mostly cloudy and temperatures could fall to around 42 degrees by 3 p.m. Wind gusts could range between 17 and 30 mph.
Overnight, skies are expected to be mostly clear with a chilly low of 31 degrees. Wind gusts between 7 and 21 mph are possible.
By Friday, cloud cover could increase as temperatures rise to 46 degrees, but no rain is expected during the day. Winds between 5 and 10 mph could increase to 10 to 30 mph as the day progresses.
A 30% chance of showers is possible Friday night before 2 a.m. Skies will be cloudy, but should become clear throughout the night as the chance of rain decreases. Low temperatures are predicted around 37 degrees.
