Team USA hopes to put a cap on one of the most dominant showings in Olympics women’s hockey history, when the U.S. meets Canada for the gold medal on Thursday.
This marks the seventh time that the U.S. will face Canada in the final, since women’s hockey debuted at the 1998 Olympics. Team USA has won two of the previous six matchups.
The U.S. is perfect through six games, and has not allowed a goal since the first game of group play against Czechia. Among the Americans’ wins was a 5-0 shutout against Canada to end the preliminary round.
