If you’re headed out for Binghamton’s parade weekend March 6-8, you may want to bring your umbrella.
National Weather Service Binghamton meteorologist Jake Chalupsky said there is a chance of rain in the forecast throughout the weekend, with possible thunderstorms as well.
Despite the wet, rainy weekend, the temperatures will be fairly warm, and the sun should come out and dry out the area on March 8.
Here’s some insight into the weather for parade weekend in Binghamton, according to the National Weather Service.
Weather March 6 in Binghamton
There is a chance of rain all throughout the day on March 6, Chalupsky said, and the rain showers are expected to be scattered and therefore not very impactful.
There is a 30% chance of rain in the morning, mainly before 7 a.m., and patchy fog is in the forecast until 9 a.m. Otherwise, the afternoon shows mostly cloudy skies and a high near 46 degrees.
The evening shows a slight increase to a 40% chance of rain showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 40.
Weather March 7 in Binghamton
March 7 shows a 40% chance of showers after 1 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 61 degrees. It could also be quite windy in the afternoon, with gusts up to 22 mph.
There is a significant increase to a 90% chance of rain showers in the evening, with possible thunderstorms in the forecast as well, and a low around 45 degrees. Chaluspky said the thunderstorms could also bring in some “gusty winds” to the area as well.
Weather March 8 in Binghamton
It should be a dry day on March 8, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 56 degrees.
The evening shows mostly clear skies with a low of around 40.
