The first official weekend of fall is looking mostly dry and warm after a week of scattered showers.
The morning of Friday, Sept. 26, started off with spots of fog throughout Westchester and Rockland for morning commuters.
As the day continues, skies are expected to gradually clear and become sunny with high temperatures near 80 degrees, a National Weather Forecast says. Overnight, skies are expected to remain mostly clear with a low of 58 degrees.
Saturday’s skies look similar, with a mix of clouds and sun and high temperatures near 77 degrees. But Saturday night brings a 40% chance of showers and a low of 61 degrees.
A 20% chance of showers is also possible Sunday before 2 p.m. The remainder of the day should be mostly cloudy with highs near 76. Overnight, skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures are expected to drop to 59 degrees.
