Vote for the Varsity 845 girls lacrosse players of the week

The Varsity 845 girls lacrosse players of the week poll is online for April 20-26 and April 27-May 3. Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845 and nominations. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.

One athlete per school is allowed per week.

The recent winners were Julia Seewald of Washingtonville; Sophia Zupancic of Washingtonville; Cailey Deacon of Goshen; and, Madeline August of O’Neill.

Go to RecordOnline.com/sports/high-school and vote as often as you like until Monday, May 11, at 3 p.m. The winners will be announced each week on the @Varsity845 account on X/Twitter.

Ashley Andrews, Washingtonville

She had three goals in the Wizards’ 14-2 win over Burke on April 27.

Ava Fanos, Warwick

She had six goals in the Wildcats’ 20-11 win over Kingston on April 28. She had two goals in a 19-2 win over Beacon on May 1. She had three goals in an 18-6 win over Averill Park on May 2.

Jaidalyn Jones, Middletown

She had three goals for the Bears in a 14-4 loss to Washingtonville on April 28.

Danica Louie, Kingston

She had 14 stops in the Tigers’ 20-11 loss to Warwick on April 28.

Olivia Pollock, Minisink Valley

She had three goals in the Warriors’ 14-10 win over Cornwall on April 28.

Emma Quaglietta, Valley Central

She scored 10 goals in the Vikings’ 18-9 win over Pine Bush on April 28.

Alex Skarkas, Monroe-Woodbury

She had five goals in the Crusaders’ 14-7 win over Lourdes in May 2.

Anneliese Vitale, Pine Bush

She had four goals in the Bushmen’s 18-9 loss to Valley Central on April 28. She had two goals in an 18-8 loss to Warwick on April  30.

Ella Boice, Minisink Valley

He had three goals and four assists as the Warriors beat Wallkill 19-0 on April 21. She had three goals in a 20-3 win over Newburgh on April 23. She had one goal in a 14-2 loss to Niskayuna on April 25.

Kyra Gilligan, Monroe-Woodbury

She had five goals in the Crusaders’ 8-7 win over Washingtonville on April 24.

Keira Ginley, Warwick

She had six goals as the Wildcats beat Monroe-Woodbury 18-7 on April 21.  She added a tally in a 15-7 win over North Rockland on April 25.

Brooke Longo, Kingston

She had five goals in the Tigers’ 12-8 win over Pine Bush on April 21.

Ashlyn McPhillips, Valley Central

She had nine goals and six assists in the Vikings’ 22-6 win over Kingston on April 23.

Kaylee Owcarz, Newburgh

She scored six goals as the Goldbacks beat Beacon 15-11 on April 24.

Fiona Varley, Pine Bush

She had three goals in the Bushmen’s 12-8 loss to Kingston on April 21. The next day she had six goals in a 14-10 win over Carmel.

Sophia Zupancic, Washingtonville

She had five goals and four assists in the Wizards’ 16-1 win over Newburgh on April 21. She had four goals in an 8-7 loss to Monroe-Woodbury on April 24.

She had eight goals in the Raiders’ 20-10 win over New Paltz on April 29.

Melanie Bonito, Goshen

She had five goals in the Gladiators’ 16-1 win over Newburgh on April 30. The next day, she had eight goals and two assists in the Glads’ 19-9 win over New Paltz on May 1.

SaraRose Ermilio, New Paltz

She scored three goals in the Huguenots’ 20-10 loss to O’Neill on April 29. She had two goals in a 19-9 loss to Goshen on May 1.

Aubrey Jagodzinski, Rondout Valley

She had four goals in the Ganders’ 15-1 win over Burke on April 29.

Annika Maclary, Saugerties

She had three goals in the Sawers’ 11-9 win over Albany on May 1. The next day she had a goal in a 14-4 loss to Voorheesville.

Logan VanZandt, Highland

She had four goals in the Huskies’ 11-9 loss to New Paltz  on April 27.

Emma Walsh, Cornwall

She had four goals in the Dragons’ 14-10 loss to Minisink Valley on April 28. She added three goals in a 12-1 win over Wallkill on April 30.

She had four goals and four assists as the Huskies beat Burke 19-1 on April 20. She had five goals in a 20-6 win over Saugerties on April 22. She had two goals in a 12-10 loss to North Salem on April 25.

Skylynn Gallentine, Wallkill

She had nine stops in a 19-0 loss to Minisink Valley on April 21.

Stella Greco, Rondout Valley

She posted six goals and 10 draw controls as the Ganders downed New Paltz 17-5 on April 20. On April 22, she had six goals in a 12-11 OT win over Lourdes.

McKena Quirk, Saugerties

She had 10 saves in a Sawyers’ 5-3 win over Red Hook on April 20. She added three saves in a 17-2 win over Beacon on April 25.

Mariah Torres, Cornwall

She had nine stops in the Dragons’ 14-6 loss to Goshen on April 22. She had seven saves in an 11-10 win over Lourdes on April 25.

Caroline Vass, Goshen

She had six goals in the Gladiators’ 14-6 win over Cornwall on April 22.
