Vote for the lohud Girls Soccer Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital

Despite the shortened slate last week, there were several notable games and plenty of impressive performances. The players’ excellence produced for us 10 nominees for Girls Soccer Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.

The previous winners this season have been Alexis Diaz of Albertus Magnus and Tuckahoe’s Brooke Matarazzo.

The poll will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday and the winner will be featured on the lohud sports social media accounts.

Faith Brown, Pleasantville

Showcasing her dual-threat offense, Brown totaled seven goals and six assists in the Panthers’ three wins last week.

Parker Calhoun, Rye

The midfielder excelled defensively in the Garnets’ shutout of Pelham and she scored twice in their 4-0 win over Eastchester, including a shot from 35 yards.

Cori Castellano, Irvington

She totaled 34 saves in two games last week, including 20 stops in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 win over Hen Hud.

Catie Donohue, Pearl River

The goalkeeper had eight saves in both of the Pirates’ wins last week, including eight in a 1-0 shutout against Clarkstown South.

Eve Girardi, Tappan Zee

Her offensive dominance continues, including three goals and an assist in their 4-1 win over Nanuet.

Lizzie Kreitzberg, Woodlands

The senior recorded a hat trick in their 3-0 win over Poughkeepsie and scored the tying goal in a 1-1 draw against Hamilton.

Amanda Mazzuca, Fox Lane

The senior scored three first-half goals in a win over Brewster.

Gianna Pace, Lakeland

She scored two goals in each of the Hornets’ two victories, including the winner in a 2-1 nail-biter against Mahopac.

Paige Pena, Ossining

She rang up five goals in the opening 30 minutes of the Pride’s 5-1 win over Port Chester. She also scored twice against Mamaroneck.

Danica Tsapatsaris, Albertus Magnus

The Seton Hall commit shined defensively and forced three second-half turnovers in the Falcons’ 1-0 win over New Jersey powerhouse Immaculate Heart, and she had three assists in their victory over Tuckahoe.
