We’re starting each week of the 2025-26 basketball season with a proverbial show of hands.

Check in to see which impact players made the cut and vote for the lohud Boys Basketball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital. Maybe they filled up the stat sheet in a quality win against a ranked opponent. Maybe they had a productive week and delivered over the course of two or three games.

We ask the coaches to send in nominations before selecting the finalists.

The poll will remain open until 3 p.m. each Wednesday and the winner is featured on the lohud sports social media accounts.

Declan Bruder, Pleasantville

The senior guard led the Panthers to a 3-0 week, finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds against Irvington, 31 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals against Westlake and 31 points, five rebounds and five steals against Valhalla.

Max Cotrone, North Salem

The senior guard filled up the stat sheet in a 71-52 win over Haldane, getting 27 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and five steals.

Anthony Ficarrotta, Dobbs Ferry

The senior guard dropped 41 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a win over Hamilton and followed up with 51 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Yonkers Montessori.

Marcus Jackette, Westlake

The senior guard had 22 points, six rebounds and six steals in a 54-50 win over Obama, 28 points, six rebounds and five steals in a 59-51 loss to Pleasantville and 27 points, four rebounds, four assists and five steals in a win over Briarcliff.

Kevin Kendall, Byram Hills

The senior guard finished with 18 points and five rebounds in a win over Pelham and 21 points, five rebounds and five steals in a win over Bronxville.

Connor Morhardt, Yorktown

The senior guard came up with 34 points and eight rebounds in a win over Carmel, 25 points and five rebounds in a win over Brewster and 17 points in a win over Mahopac.

Brendan Orr, Pearl River

The junior forward had 21 points and six rebounds in a 71-39 win over Hastings and 12 points and 10 rebounds in a 52-36 win over Clarkstown North.

Justin Parkes, Hen Hud

The senior guard opened the Jack McGuire Holiday Tournament with 24 points in a 51-46 win over Saunders then locked up MVP honors with 19 points in an 82-66 win over Lakeland.

Jake Sheehy, Greeley

The senior forward produced 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in a win over Panas and 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in a win over Rye.

Aaron Woodberry, Woodlands

The senior guard delivered 21 points and six rebounds in a win over Valhalla and 35 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Albertus Magnus.
