Jillian Kendrick of Valley Central was the top all-around finisher among Section 9 athletes at the New York State Federation girls gymnastics championships in Utica on Saturday, February 28.
Kendrick posted a four-event score of 34.075 points, placing 17th overall. Sage Rieber finished 18th at 33.925. Kaedence Bresnick was 24th at 32.800.
There were only three top-20 finishes in apparatus finals: Kendrick was 17th on uneven bars (8.850) and 20th on balance beam (8.800) and Rieber was 19th on bars (8.750).
The Federation is made up of schools from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association and New York City’s Public Schools Athletic League.
