New York Giants holding a wide receiver workout on Monday

The New York Giants are set to hold a wide receiver workout on Monday as the team grapples with a series of injuries that have thinned their depth at the position.

The session comes after Gunner Olszewski suffered a torn Achilles tendon this week, sidelining the versatile return specialist and receiver for the season. Compounding the issue, star wideout Malik Nabers continues to recover from a torn ACL and remains uncertain for Week 1, while Darius Slayton is working his way back from sports hernia surgery.

No specific participants were named for Monday’s workout, though the Giants are expected to prioritize receivers capable of contributing on special teams as returners, filling the void left by Olszewski.

The injuries have also renewed speculation about a potential reunion with free agent Odell Beckham Jr. The 33-year-old veteran previously visited the team in April but was not signed at the time. With the current roster strain, Beckham could now emerge as a viable option to bolster the receiving corps ahead of the upcoming season.

The Giants will look to add immediate depth as organized team activities continue.
