At the scene, officers located a sedan and an SUV with major damage. Two of the drivers involved, Safwan Aziz, 49, of Binghamton, and Rafael Cuadra, 71, of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, were killed in the crash.

Police said speed was determined to be a factor.

A third driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Court Street and Century Drive were open to traffic as of July 8.

The Binghamton Police Department was assisted by New York State Police. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at 607-772-7080.
