Trader Joe’s has confirmed a national release date for its new lavender large canvas tote bag.
After previously offering a rolling release date in late March for the new seasonal product, the new large lavender totes will now be released starting Monday, March 23, the company confirmed.

Nakia Rohde, a spokeswoman for Trader Joe’s, confirmed that the company’s latest large canvas tote bag will have lavender handles and a pink embroidered logo. The bag, is a larger version of the California-based chain’s previously released lavender-handled mini tote.
“This is a limited-time product, and availability will vary store by store,” she said.
Like other large totes sold by Trader Joe’s the large tote will measure around 20 inches long, 14 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Each large tote costs $3.99, Rohde said. Other large totes sold by Trader Joe’s had navy blue or green handles.

The grocery store chain last week also confirmed that pastel-colored mini tote bags are expected to arrive at Trader Joe’s stores across the county in mid-March, Rohde said.
The popular bags will return in the same colors as were sold in spring 2025, including what the company calls delicate pink, baby blue, mint green and lovely lavender. Measuring about 13 inches long, 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, the mini bags are “ideal for small shopping trips,” the retailer said on its website. Each mini-tote costs $2.99.
According to Trader Joe’s, the canvas bags are best used when “you’re just picking up something for lunch, or grabbing those items you forgot the first time around.”
The pastel bags follow the re-release of the original canvas mini tote bag colors in December. Trader Joe’s also sold Halloween-themed canvas mini totes in October. Trader Joe’s also previously released a new line of smaller bags called canvas micro totes in November.
Where are Trader Joe’s stores located in New York?
There are 38 Trader Joe’s locations in New York, according to the company’s website.
