See it: Cam Skattebo shotguns beer while walking out with Emiliano Vargas

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo added a memorable touch to his busy offseason by joining rising boxing prospect Emiliano Vargas for his ring walk at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

Vargas, the 2025 Fight Freaks Unite prospect of the year, faced Bryce Mills in a junior welterweight bout on the Xander Zayas-Jaron “Boots” Ennis undercard streamed on DAZN PPV. Skattebo, draped in Mexican and American flags and wearing a dark jacket, accompanied the fighter to the ring.

In a viral moment captured on video, Skattebo dramatically shotgunned a beer as they made their entrance, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Vargas went on to dominate, dropping Mills twice en route to a fourth-round knockout victory. The performance kept the Mexican-American fighter on track toward bigger opportunities in the 140-pound division.

Skattebo has embraced the spotlight this offseason with various public appearances, including Knicks playoff games and a scripted WWE brawl last season. His involvement in the boxing event highlights the ongoing connection between the Giants running back and the New York sports scene as he prepares for the upcoming NFL campaign.
