A motorcyclist from Poughkeepsie died June 1 in a crash in the Town of Lloyd.
New York State Police said the collision happened just before 9:30 p.m. on June 1.
According to state police, Felix A. Amaro Soriano, 22, of Poughkeepsie, was traveling east on Route 299 operating a 2002 Suzuki American motorcycle when it struck the rear of a dump-style trailer traveling in the same direction.
Both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed, state police said.
Amaro Soriano was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the collision.
Amaro Soriano received lifesaving measures at the scene. He was then transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
State police are asking anyone who might have witnessed the collision to call the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at their Highland barracks, 845-344-5300.
