The rinks have been outfitted with six covered pickleball courts, which have proven to be a popular destination for players of all ages and skill levels.

“We have been seeing an increase in the number of youth and young adult players as pickleball continues to hold its place as the fastest-growing sport in America,” said Alex Hamilton, Corning City Recreation Director.

The Nasser Civic Center Rink Facility is for community members ages 10 and up, Hamilton said. The six courts are available for play during the designated “open play” hours. Limited paddles and balls are available for those who need them.

There’s still plenty of time to take up the sport as the Nasser Civic Center rinks will be open through Nov. 2. Here’s everything you need to know.
