PFF: What do the Jets still need to 'think about' during the 2025 NFL offseason?

The New York Jets have worked their way throughout the 2025 NFL offseason and everyone is looking forward to finding out how things go during the first full season under the watch of head coach Aaron Glenn.

However, Pro Football Focus makes a case that the work isn’t fully done just yet and their eye is on the backfield.

Running back Breece Hall has had his name tied to potential trade rumors. He’s still in New York and the team’s front office has said they are not trying to trade him.

Even so, PFF thinks settling the discourse on Hall once and for all is what the Jets still have to “think about” addressing this offseason.

Hall had a down season in 2024 but played through injury. For both the player and the team moving forward, a bounce-back year is hope next season.

PFF’s breakdown on Hall can be found below:

Earlier this offseason, new head coach Aaron Glenn seemed to be dropping subtle hints about Hall’s future with the Jets. Those have since been quelled, and it appears he will be on the roster for 2025 in a make-or-break contract year.

Hall was once viewed as the long-term RB1 for New York’s backfield, both as a rusher (PFF rushing grades above 68.0 in all three seasons) and a receiver (88.9 PFF receiving grade in 2023). It’s a pivotal year for him and the direction of the Jets’ rushing attack, though the 2026 running back class doesn’t look as plentiful compared to recent years.
