One person died after a motor vehicle crash that shut down Interstate 84 west in Putnam County for hours on Monday, June 23.
A New York State Police news release did not provide information about the person who died or about what occurred, describing it as a serious motor vehicle collision.
I-84’s west side was reopened as of 8:22 p.m. Monday, state police said. The police responded to the collision, in Kent, at 1:48 p.m.
Traffic was diverted off the highway at Route 311 on Monday and drivers were advised to seek other routes and expect delays.
