Ja’Markis Weston has his 21-day practice window opened by the New York Jets this week.
On Wednesday, the Jets (0-5) have placed Weston on that injury designation which could mean he will be added to the roster soon:
Weston is an undrafted rookie signee by New York following the 2025 NFL draft. He missed the first five games this season after Weston was placed on injured reserve in late August with an undisclosed injury.
The Jets now have 21 days to activate Weston to their active roster or else he returns to IR for the rest of the season.
If Weston is added to the roster, he is expected to play a depth role in the Jets’ linebacker corps.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 season.
