New York Giants rookie Bobby Jamison-Travis excels in one key area

The New York Giants drafted Auburn defensive tackle Bobby Jamison-Travis in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft.

At 6-foot-4 and 322 pounds, Jamison-Travis is a massive defensive tackle who could quickly emerge as a late-round steal during his rookie campaign. The Giants selected him with the 186th overall pick on Saturday afternoon, and the former Auburn star was widely regarded as one of the top defensive players still available on the board.

The talented lineman may very well earn an everyday role on the Giants’ defensive line if he has a strong training camp this summer. Jamison-Travis has the potential to develop into a star in New York.

In his third and final season at Auburn, Jamison-Travis posted a 12.1% run-stop percentage, the fourth-best mark in all of college football. Among defensive tackles in the 2026 NFL draft class, it ranked second.

While the Giants are expected to pursue a starting-caliber defensive tackle in free agency, Jamison-Travis possesses all the tools necessary to become an everyday rotational contributor on the defense in the near future.

A strong showing at rookie minicamp would go a long way for the former Auburn star and could help him begin to make a name for himself this summer.
