As summer approaches and Americans look ahead to the nation’s 250th anniversary, recent polling shows President Donald Trump’s approval ratings continuing to decline.
A record-high share of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance, according to the latest Economist/YouGov poll released June 2. The survey found that 61% of respondents disapproved of the way Trump is handling his duties as president. The poll also found high levels of dissatisfaction with his handling of inflation and the conflict involving Iran.
Trump’s net job approval rating stood at minus 26, the lowest recorded in an Economist/YouGov poll during either of his presidential terms, according to the publication.
The survey included about 1,600 U.S. adults and was conducted May 29 through June 1.
