VICTOR, NY — When you’re enjoying live music in the village of Victor’s Mead Square Park, you can thank Fire on Main owner Dominick Dardano for the new stage.
Dardano donated the custom-built outdoor performance stage, which will provide a vibrant hub for community events and foster greater connection among residents, according to Kathy Rayburn, executive director of the Victor Local Development Corp.
Appropriately enough, the new stage, which was made from a refurbished farm wagon, is officially named the Fire on Main Stage.
“This outdoor stage is my way of investing directly into the heartbeat of the village of Victor,” Dardano said. “I believe in this village and envision the community coming together in this space to enjoy entertainment and have fun with their families and friends.”
And they can do that with the next Music on Main event from 5 to 8 p.m. July 16. The JD Blues Band, Laura Compton, School of Rock, John Carter, Rocco Sole, John and Maria and Paul Strowe will be performing at TK’s Village Inn, Papa Jack’s, Fire on Main, NO BS Brewing Co. and Stumblin’ Monkey in addition to the new stage at Mead Square Park.
The village government and Victor LDC worked with Dardano on logistical needs to complete the stage project.
“It’s more than just a stage; it is a statement of support and dedication to this community by a local business owner that should get the most attention,” Rayburn said in a statement. “This gift from Dominick Dardano is a testament to his commitment to the community.”
