The Brooklyn Nets have been waiting patiently for the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery on Sunday after finishing the 2025-26 season with the third-worst record in the league (20-62). The Lottery will determine where Brooklyn will pick in June’s 2026 NBA Draft and heading into Sunday’s event, they are hoping to get the No. 1 overall pick that allows them to take whoever they want.
With the 2026 class headlined by BYU forward AJ Dybantsa, Kansas guard Darryn Peterson, and Duke forward Cameron Boozer, the Nets have more margin for error than usual. Dybantsa, Peterson, and Boozer are each considered to be prospects capable of being franchise-level players if they reach their ceiling so as long as Brooklyn ends up in the top-3, they should be happy.
As if the nature of the Lottery, the Nets could end up with the No. 1 overall pick, but they could also end up with the No. 7 overall pick, meaning that Sunday could fundamentally change their draft strategy based off the pick they draw. Brooklyn isn’t taking any chances as franchise legend Vince Carter will be representing and superfan Mr. Whammy is invited as a guest so here’s what you need to know to get ready for Sunday’s Lottery:
