Two Florida drivers died at the scene of a multiple car collision early Sunday morning along the Alligator Alley stretch of Interstate 75 in Broward County.
The crash occurred at 2:18 a.m., May 10, after a 2001 Vanhool Commuter bus was stopped disabled on the outside lane of the interstate and a second driver initially failed to observe the stopped vehicle and attempted to swerve to the left. The bus driver was standing outside the vehicle at the time.
The two vehicles collided and the second car, a 2024 Grey Toyota Rav4, collided with the guardrail and came to final rest partially on the inside shoulder and inside lane.
A third driver approaching the vehicles attempted to swerve to the right, but collided with one of the vehicles and overturned. The fourth driver in the collision observed the vehicles and attempted to swerve onto the outside shoulder, but its front/side collided with the right rear of the bus.

Two drivers involved in the May 10 multiple car collision were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the 2001 Vanhool Commuter bus, a 75-year-old man from Doral, Florida, and a 45-year-old man from Miami, Florida, the driver of the third car, a 2007 Blue Honda Odyssey, were killed in the crash.
The driver of the 2024 Grey Toyota Rav4, as well as the driver and three passengers of the 2017 White Nissan Rogue suffered non-fatal injuries.
Is I-75 closed due to fatal Florida crash?
All lanes southbound were closed, but reopened at 8:08 a.m. Sunday, May 10, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
The crash remains under investigation.
