A Rochester man has been arrested in connection with the 2022 killing of 29-year-old James Hallenbeck.
Police were called to 162 Olean St. around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 21, 2022, where officers found Hallenbeck on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck and blunt force trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday afternoon, members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force arrested 21-year-old Rahjule Keeton during a traffic stop on a sealed indictment warrant. The indictment was unsealed later that evening in Monroe County Court, charging Keeton with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and second-degree robbery in Hallenbeck’s death.
Keeton is being held at the Monroe County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday at 2 p.m. before Judge Argento.
