The National Weather Service says the week ahead will be mostly sunny for Lower Hudson Valley residents, with rain likely on Monday evening into Tuesday.
Monday, June 30, is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 89 degrees. By afternoon, a slight breeze could make temperatures feel a bit cooler.

Monday evening should be partly cloudy with a low near 72 degrees. However, some showers and thunderstorms could come through the Lower Hudson Valley on Monday evening after 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms will likely persist all day Tuesday, bringing around a quarter to a half inch of rain to the region.
Temperatures are expected to be around 89 degrees during the day Tuesday, but heat index values will make it feel more like 98 degrees. Tuesday evening will continue to be rainy with a low of 71 degrees.
Wednesday will feature another cloudy day, but the sun should come out by the afternoon. High temperatures Wednesday are expected to reach near 87 degrees.
Overnight Wednesday, skies should look mostly clear with evening temperatures near 67 degrees.
