Dutchess County restaurant inspection records show seven food establishments received five or more violations in May, according to the most recent data released by New York state.
A Poughkeepsie hotel had one critical violation and 12 non-critical violations in May, including using unapproved food and having litter on the premises. A Mexican restaurant in Beacon received one critical violation and eight non-critical violations in May, including dirty surfaces and other public health violations.
Other restaurants were cited for having inadequate toilet facilities, not keeping surfaces clean and not preventing cross-contamination between raw and cooked food.
