Police are investigating allegations made against New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
Stemming from a social media post made over the weekend by a woman named “Kristen,” claims were made by her that Smith “beat my —” in a video.
According to TMZ Sports, the case is “currently under review” as of Monday:
Transcribed by TMZ Sports, the full allegations made by the woman against the 35-year-old Jets player are as follows:
Today is the DAY! Geno Smith beat my [expletive] cause he HATED taking care of his special needs kid.” She goes on to accuse him of playing Call of Duty instead, among other things. She later wrote “charges [were] pressed.”
TMZ Sports continued in a breakdown of the video:
“She then turned around and shouted more allegations … claiming Smith broke “my f***ing computer” and threw her purses out, and stole money out of her car. Another clip shows Smith in the driver’s seat of a vehicle as an apparent physical scuffle unfolds.”
In a separate follow-up report Andy Slater of FOX Sports states that the case has already been closed.
