The New York Jets took the field for OTAs this past week. The team was without one noteworthy player.
The Jets were without starting offensive lineman Joe Tippmann according to The Athletic:
It’s important to point out that spring practices are entirely voluntary until mandatory minicamp. However, Tippmann missing is worth noting given the fact that Tippmann is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and could be looking for an extension.
That aspect is speculation at this point, but it could be possible… and again, OTAs are voluntary. Tippmann has not held out for a new contract in any way just yet.
