Jets send support to Chris Johnson after sad health revelation

The New York Jets have taken their support for former running back Chris Johnson to social media.

On Monday, Johnson made a shocking revelation. He told “Good Morning America” he had been diagnosed with ALS back in 2025 and is currently struggling with the illness better known as “Lou Gehrig’s disease.”

“There’s no history of ALS in my family,” Johnson said. “My doctors believe my case is what’s called sporadic ALS, which is actually how the vast majority of ALS cases happen. That’s one of the reasons this disease can be so shocking. It can happen to someone who never expected it.”

As Johnson continues his good fight, he is getting support from the team he played for during the 2014 season.
