The New York Jets are a rebuilding roster. One of their young studs is offensive tackle Armand Membou. Though the Jets struggled through the 2025 season, rookie tackle Membou was excellent. The former Missouri standout immediately established himself as a high-upside starter.
The Jets believe their offensive line will be the strength of the offense in 2026. Membou and Olu Fashanu are forming an ascending duo at offensive tackle. Speaking of, ESPN recently ranked the 10 best offensive tackles in the NFL. Membou earned a handful of votes after his breakout rookie season.
After the ESPN poll produced a top 10 at offensive tackle, an additional five tackles were mentioned as honorable mentions. Membou fell in the next tier of tackle prospects who also received votes, but not enough to get into the top 10 (or even an honorable mention). Still, Membou’s placement on the list in any capacity speaks volumes of his rookie season success.
Membou possesses every trait imaginable to develop into a high-end NFL tackle. His goal for next offseason should be to perform so well in 2026 that he at least earns an honorable mention in next summer’s ESPN poll for offensive tackles. Membou is a legitimate building block for the Jets.
