How did Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show viewership compare to Turning Point's?

Millions of people watched Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” the alternative music event that took place at the same time as Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, which reportedly is the most-watched halftime Super Bowl performance of all time —135 million viewers tuned in to watch the Puerto Rican rapper perform, according to CBS News.

The All-American Halftime Show, which streamed online and on a handful of cable news channels, drew in as many as 6.1 million concurrent viewers on its YouTube channel Sunday night, according to the New York Times, and began with a message in support of late conservative personality, Charlie Kirk. “This one is for you, Charlie,” a spokesman said.

Since its debut, the All-American Halftime Show’s YouTube stream has had nearly 20 million views, as of Monday morning.

Meanwhile, official numbers for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance have yet to be released, though CBS reported that early figures show it was the most-watched halftime performance of all time with more than 135 million viewers.

Apple Music said that his halftime show press conference also broke records and was “the most watched in Super Bowl history” with more than 63 million views across an array of related content, including the live stream and social clips.

How many people watch the Super Bowl?

While official numbers have not been released as of Monday morning, the numbers have fluctuated but generally increased year-over-year, according to USA TODAY.

Using Super Bowl ratings from Nielsen Media Research, it’s likely be more than 125 million people across all platforms. Nielsen estimated 127.7 million viewers watched Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs last year. That marked the largest audience for a Super Bowl ever.

That continued a general upward trend from the last five years. Here’s the Nielsen numbers from the last five Super Bowls:

Super Bowl 59 broke the previous record held by Super Bowl 51 which was 126.3 million total viewers, USA TODAY reported.
