ORCHARD PARK – As the Buffalo Bills enter Day 3 of the NFL Draft, they have six picks at their disposal, pending any trades. Of course, given how the first two days have gone, with president/general manager making four trades, no one can truly predict how many players the Bills will actually acquire Saturday.
To start, they have the very first pick of the fourth round. No. 101, and then they are scheduled to make back-to-back picks later in the fourth at Nos. 125 and 126. In the middle of the fifth round they will go back-to-back again at Nos. 167 and 168, and to close it out, they have No. 220 in the seventh round.
“I still think we have some spots that we can fill (Saturday),” Beane said Friday night. “We did part with one of the picks to move up and make sure we got (Davison Igbinosun). When you get to the seventh round for the most part, you’re kind of securing a guy that you don’t have to fight for as a priority free agent. In my mind, we’ve got five picks. I would sit here and say most likely, we’ll see how the board falls, but I would think a number of these guys will have a chance to make the roster.”
