The New York State Police is asking for the public’s assistance after a UPS employee was injured in a hit and run.
At around 12:47 p.m. on Dec.12, troopers responded to Route 365 in the town of Verona for a reported hit and run personal injury accident, according to a statement from state police.
A preliminary investigation determined that a UPS employee had walked in the front of their delivery truck on the west shoulder of Route 365 when an unknown southbound vehicle struck them, causing non-life- threatening injuries.
The victim was transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment, troopers said.
The suspect vehicle involved fled the scene following the collision. The incident occurred near DG Market. The vehicle is believed to be gray or metallic in color, authorities said.
