Plan ahead.
Optimism is rightfully high this time of year and these are the Section 1 fall championship dates any team with aspirations of a lengthy postseason run need to keep in mind. The dates were recently approved by the executive committee and the championship sites are part of a three-year plan that was approved in 2025.
There are some changes from past seasons, most notably football, which is moving from Mahopac to the recently renovated complex at North Rockland.

Field hockey
Nov. 1 at Nyack High School

Nov. 1 at Port Chester High School
Girls diving
Nov. 6 at Purchase College
Boys and girls cross country
Nov. 7 site TBD
Girls volleyball
Nov. 7-8 at Westchester County Center
Girls swimming
Nov. 9-10 at Felix Festa Middle School
Boys volleyball
Nov. 12 at Westchester County Center
Football
Nov. 13-14 at North Rockland High School
