Mother’s Day weekend will start out rainy but end with clear, sunny skies.
If you’re planning outdoor festivities with your family, you just might be in luck. National Weather Service Binghamton meteorologist Bryan Greenblatt said while the weekend will start off with rainfall on May 9, by May 11, temperatures will warm up and the sun will come out.
However, Greenblatt further said even the high temperatures throughout the weekend are still a few degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.
Here’s a quick look into the weather in Binghamton for Mother’s Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
May 9 weather in Binghamton
Greenblatt said Binghamton will see “steadier rainfall” throughout the day on May 9 that will “taper off” to rain showers into the evening.
There is a 90% of rain in the afternoon and a high of 54 degrees.
In the evening, there is a 60% chance of precipitation, with rain before 8 p.m. and then showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., and a low around 43 degrees.
May 10 weather in Binghamton
There is a 30% chance of showers before 2 p.m. on May 10, however mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for the rest of the afternoon. The high is 66 degrees.
The evening shows mostly clear skies and a low around 44 degrees.
May 11 weather in Binghamton
Mother’s Day is expected to be sunny all day, with a high near 70 degrees.
The evening shows mostly clear skies and a low around 46 degrees.
