Two Greece police officers and one other motorist were injured in a crash in northwest Rochester that stemmed from a police pursuit that started in Greece on Sunday night.

What sparked the pursuit?
Greece police officers received an alert regarding a stolen vehicle on West Ridge Road in Greece around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, according to police. Officers spotted the stolen vehicle in a nearby plaza and attempted to stop the driver, who fled the scene in the stolen car.
The chase – Greece NY to Rochester NY
The driver led police officers on the chase from Greece into the City of Rochester. What police described as a “serious collision” occurred on Mount Read Boulevard at Lexington Avenue took place during the pursuit.
Who was injured?
Two police officers were injured and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Both officers are in stable condition, according to police.
The driver of stolen vehicle was also injured in crash, officers said. That person was apprehended and is receiving medical treatment following the crash.

Charges are pending. Greece police officers continue to investigate the incident and said they will share further details later on Monday.
