The New York Giants experienced a scary moment during their team drills at training camp on Friday when star edge rusher Brian Burns violently collided with wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson during a pass play.
Both players were down on the field for a bit and were assisted off the field and then into the locker room for evaluation.
Art Stapleton of USA TODAY now reports that Burns and Robinson appear to be okay after the incident.
The collision was a freak one that happened during a short pass and catch from Russell Wilson to rookie tight end Thomas Fidone.
The Giants dodged a bullet as the matchup between the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Burns and the 5-foot-8, 185-pound Robinson is anything but even.
The Giants have a day off on Saturday and will return to practice on Sunday morning, so the pair will have a day to regroup.
