New Yorkers – be prepared for a chilly October night. The National Weather Service has issued freeze warnings in regions across the state starting late Wednesday, Oct. 1 into the next day.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s or low 30s overnight in parts of northern and central New York:

Frost could harm outdoor vegetation.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
