Two repeat winners and two first-time titlists gave Section 4 a total of four champions Saturday, Feb. 28 at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association boys wrestling championships at MVP Arena in Albany.
Norwich junior Maverick Beckwith earned his third state title and Tioga junior Declan McKee his second.
Deposit/Hancock junior Landyn Shaffer and Chenango Valley junior Anthony Valls secured the other state titles for Section 4.
All four championships came in Division 2.
Section 4 had four runner-up finishes and four third-place showings in Division 2.

Four from Section 4 placed second
Odessa-Montour/Watkins Glen’s Lucas Hoffman and Newark Valley’s Cadin Creeley joined Clark and Duncanson in placing second in Division 2 for Section 4.
Hoffman lost to Holland Patent’s Andrew Juliano, 9-8, in the 118-pound championship match.
Creeley made it to the 165-pound final as the No. 6 seed. He lost to Coxsackie Athens’ Ryker Cox, 7-4, in the deciding match.
Third-place finishers from Section 4, all in Division 2, were Unatego/Unadilla Valley/Franklin’s Gavin Nordberg (132) and Yanni Drapaniotis (190), Waverly’s Cooper Robinson (157), and Susquehanna Valley’s Trey Parker (285).
