Why Bryant is the All-Greater Rochester Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year: The now three-time AGR Boys Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year broke the triple jump state record by bounding out to 51 feet-10 inches. This triple jump might be in the all-time top 10 among high school athletes in the United States.
Future plans: Further my academic and athletic career at Princeton University.
Ibrahim Ford, Arkport-Canaseraga

Events: Distance races
Key accomplishments: Finished in fourth place in the 3,200-meter state race for athletes in all classes and from schools of all sizes. Ford also came in 10th in the 1,600.
Future plans: The 2025 AGR Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year said after the fall season that he plans to “attend Cornell University to study engineering and further my running career.”

Key accomplishment: 7.64 seconds in the 55 hurdles.

Ben Burns

Key accomplishments: Winning the state qualifying meet and hitting a new personal-best and school record of 14 feet.

Key accomplishments: Top weight throw (63 feet-8 inches), shot put (43-6) and pole vault (11-6).

Key accomplishments: Top 1,000-meter race (2:36), 1,600 (4:25) and 3,200 (9:31).

Key accomplishments: Competed at state championships and the New Balance Indoor Nationals in triple jump. Personal-record of 47 feet-2 inches.
Future plans: Attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall. I will be a jumper on the school’s track and field team.
Josh Tara
School: Webster Schroeder
Year: Junior
Parents: Kelly and Jeff Tara
Event: Pole vault
Key accomplishments: I’m most proud of placing seconnd at the state championships this indoor season, as well as going to the New Balance Nationals with a height of 15 feet-2 inches.
Future plans: I plan on continuing to keep vaulting, as well as attend and compete at the collegiate level, hopefully in Division I.
