Chick-fil-A opening new restaurant in Rochester market

Chick-fil-A will open its fourth Monroe County restaurant at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 29 at 4871 Lake Road South in the town of Sweden.

Any customer who shows up dressed like a cow will get one free entrée or a kid’s meal, while supplies last.

Actually, you don’t need to go full cow. A cow-spotted item of clothing or accessory will qualify you for the freebie. (Free breakfast options are a Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, an Egg White Grill or a 4-count Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis. Free lunch/dinner options are a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, an 8-count Grilled Nuggets or a 5-count Nugget Kid’s Meal.)

Since 1995, cow imagery has been used by the Atlanta-based chain to encourage people to skip hamburgers and “Eat More Chikin.”

Aaron Reynolds is the owner-operator of the Sweden Chick-fil-A, which will employ around 100 people, the company said.

The location, once home to a Citizens Bank branch, is near the village of Brockport.

The restaurant will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (11 p.m. for the drive-thru) Monday through Saturday (closed on Sunday). Carry-out, delivery and curbside pick-up will be available with Mobile Thru.

Chick-fil-A has more than 3,000 restaurants across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The company opened its first restaurant in England early this year, and its first location in Singapore is set to open late this year, marking the brand’s entry into Asia.
