Chick-fil-A will be opening the doors to its first Broome County restaurant at the Oakdale Commons in Johnson City in 2026.
In a June 29 statement, Chick-fil-A Inc. confirmed the Oakdale Commons location will open “in fall 2026, pending construction delays.”
Construction for the new restaurant is currently underway at the former KeyBank, which was closed and subsequently demolished in late 2025 to make way for Chick-fil-A. KeyBank has since opened a branch in Vestal following the Johnson City closure.
The Oakdale Commons Chick-fil-A is expected to be the first of two coming to Broome County. A second location is anticipated to open within the Town Square Mall in Vestal at the former Storming Crab property.
A timeline for the Vestal location has not yet been announced.
