Two people were shot – including a man who suffered life-threatening injuries – in southwest Rochester Monday afternoon, according to police.
Shots fired
Emergency responders were called to Genesee Street, near Seward Street, just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 29 after it was reported that shots were fired in the area, according to Rochester police.
Responding police officers found two people who had been shot at the scene.
2 shot, 1 seriously wounded
Both shooting victims were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. A 27-year-old Rochester man suffered serious injuries, according to police. A 26-year-old Rochester woman suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, officers said.
What’s next
No charges have been filed in connection with the shooting. Officers are investigating the incident. Further details were not released.
