More about the Middlesex bridge project
The bridge over the West River is between Lincoln Avenue and Church Street.
No need to worry about detours or traffic impacts just yet. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2028.
Here’s what to know about the Middlesex meeting
Immediately prior to the hearing, DOT officials will hold an informal, open-house style meeting at 6 p.m. to discuss the project and answer questions. No formal presentation is planned for the open house portion of the meeting.
The purpose of the hearing is to provide residents, local businesses and elected officials with information about the proposed project and provide an opportunity for comments on the DOT’s preferred alternative.
DOT officials will also provide details showing proposed highway right-of-way modifications involving property acquisitions.
Officials will be available to discuss and answer questions on the eminent domain procedure.
