Bills' mid-round rookie has lofty goals for first NFL season

Kaleb Elarms-Orr has set the bar high for himself despite never taking a snap in the NFL.. all while only being a mid-round selection at the 2026 NFL Draft.

Selected by Buffalo in the fourth-round, the TCU product believes he has what it takes to secure a spot on the field when the Bills start their upcoming season against the Houston Texans in Week 1.

“I want to be a starter Week 1,” Elarms-Orr said at OTAs. “I want to earn it. I want to be a guy who comes in and earns everyone’s respect.”

That could mean bad news for linebacker Dorian Williams. That’s likely the insider linebacker position Elarms-Orr would aim for next to Terrel Bernard.

There is still a long way to go before a starter is picked. During spring practices, first-team snaps can be rotational, but Elarms-Orr is seeing some come his way according to defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard said.

“He’s done an excellent job of picking up the defense,” Leonhard said. “Early on, he’s running with the ones and controlling the huddle.”
