LB target in Georgia locks in official visit with Florida State

Official visit season is in full effect, and the FSU Seminoles will have one of their linebacker targets in the 2027 cycle on campus in a few weeks. According to Chris Nee of Noles247, CJ Ohuabunwa has locked in an official visit with FSU on June 19. The Seminoles made him an offer back on May 13.

Ohuabunwa isn’t a ranked prospect on 247Sports. However, Rivals’ industry rankings have him listed as a three-star prospect that’s the No. 1,388 overall recruit, the No. 132 linebacker, and the No. 148 prospect in the state of Georgia.

It was a very productive junior season for Ohuabunwa at the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia. He finished with 124 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble.

This will be the second time that Ohuabunwa has visited Florida State this year, as he was also on campus for a Junior Day visit back in January. The Seminoles are looking to add four-star Gregory Batson in the 2027 cycle at the linebacker spot. He’s set to take an official visit on June 12.
