Buffalo Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson is back with the team’s medical staff once again.
On Monday, the Bills are back on the practice field prepping for their first preseason game of 2026 against the Carolina Panthers this weekend.
After already sustaining a calf injury during training camp which was first feared to be serious but turned out otherwise, Gardner-Johnson is now hurt again.
According to reports from practice, Gardner-Johnson injured the same leg as he previously did, but it might be a different issue:
Adding to the problem is Cole Bishop, who left practice early on Saturday with an injury of own. That left Geno Stone and Damar Hamlin to step in as Buffalo’s safety duo with the first-team defense during practice.
The team has yet to provide an update on Gardner-Johnson.
