Johnson expects Trump to sign affordable housing bill within 10 days

WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) – U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Wednesday he expects President Donald Trump will sign the affordable housing bill within 10 days, adding that House of Representatives Republicans will put together a reconciliation bill that would include voter ID legislation.

Trump earlier on Wednesday canceled a planned signing of bipartisan legislation aimed at speeding up the construction and availability of more affordable housing until the Save America Act voter ID bill was passed.
