Who will win Iowa State basketball vs Kansas? Here's our pick

Iowa State basketball is hoping to continue its best start and longest win streak in program history when it travels to Kansas for an 8 p.m. CT game Tuesday, Jan. 13 (ESPN).

The Cyclones (16-0, 3-0 Big 12) haven’t won in Lawrence since 2017, but they’re favored by 3.5 points (as of Monday afternoon) this time around. Kansas is 11-5 and 1-2 in the league.

Iowa State basketball vs Kansas prediction

According to Vegas oddsmakers (as of Monday afternoon), Iowa State is favored by about 3 points heading into the Phog. If Kansas wasn’t motivated enough after its recent downturn, hosting the No. 2-ranked Cyclones should certainly provide added juice. Although the last couple of decades haven’t been kind to Iowa State when it goes to Lawrence, the Cyclones’ continued second-half ability to close games this season will be a difference-maker. Prediction: Iowa State 75, Kansas 72
